My photographic journey now spans over half a century covering most aspects from macro photography through to astro photography. Always something new to learn whether it be techniques, composition or just a new direction.

I have also been very lucky with successes with photos appearing in regional and national newspapers and mirrored on television including “The One Show”. Portfolios have been featured in several national magazines including the front cover of EOS Magazine and a two page spread in What Digital Camera. I was also fortunate to place first in an annual Lancashire Life competition and a national astrophotography competition sponsored by York University then placed 3rd the following year in the same category sponsored by the University of Hull.

Perhaps the greatest achievements were Canon approaching me to use a photo for one of there Expositions in London and two photos receiving Royal approval with one making a First Day Cover while the other progressed onto a postage stamp.

In addition, I enjoy teaching photography for friends and Outreach (as a STEM Ambassador) and I am also a photography Judge on the regional circuit.
