On 12th August there will be a “partial” solar eclipse as observed from the UK. Visible all the way from Cornwall to the far north of Scotland the amount of eclipse will vary up to a maximum of 96%. We will not see totality from the UK.

The event will begin around 6.15pm with maximum coverage around 7.12pm and ending at 8.06pm.

In Filey we can expect a maximum coverage of around 89%.
