Well, I have started to do some video blogs on YouTube – more a case of if you can’t beat em, join em !!! I have put some metal detecting Vlogs up already but I will be adding some astronomy, wood turning, photography, ham radio, air rifle target shooting, gardening and probably some others to mix it up a bit. I have after all got a few hobbies. Please feel free to check out the channel @CosmicDigs
Well, today might be Friday 13th but there was nothing unlucky with todays metal detecting. Three coins found, a toasted “likely” Victorian penny, then a George V silver sixpence but what happened next sent shivers down the spine. My first gold coin. An Edward III gold quarter noble (1361~1369) See the video on YouTube
What an incredible day, just found a bronze age axe head dating between 900 ~ 700BC (though possibly even older) – the celebratory wine is already chilled and poured.
On top of Filey Country park with some lovely aurora and lightning on the horizon.
Following an unexpected server crash, my previous homepage was irretrievable so a new one is now under development – all links working so far but lots of ideas still to add so please check back regularly 🙂
